On 08/04/2026, it was officially communicated to the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) that all 365 employees of Lear Corp – a company active in the production of car seats – will be transferred to the Fulchir Group, which, with over 600 employees and a well-established presence across Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia, operates in several sectors: from eyewear to components for renewable energy, as well as electronic products for the automotive industry.
During the meeting, it was announced that starting from 1 May, the workers will join the new company, which will be called Mechatronix, with full protection of acquired rights and confirmation of the current workplace. Lear will also transfer the industrial buildings, related services, and machinery necessary for the development of the activities that will be carried out by Fulchir.
The agreement represents a highly significant result for the Piedmont region, which has been severely affected by the crisis in the automotive sector: not only are all jobs being safeguarded, but key skills and professional expertise essential for the future development of the new industrial activity are also being preserved.
