Zetronic presents industrial plan for the Lear site in Grugliasco

A new phase is opening for the future of the Lear site in Grugliasco. During the meeting convened at the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), Zetronic presented its industrial proposal for the acquisition of the production assets of the site.

During the meeting with institutions and trade unions, the company outlined the main guidelines of the industrial project, which aims at the conversion and relaunch of the site through new production activities and dedicated investments.

The plan includes a total investment of approximately €20 million and the gradual activation of six production lines. Planned activities include metal component stamping and assemblies for the automotive sector, assembly of mechatronic products and wiring harnesses, production of seats for the aerospace sector, manufacturing of structures for photovoltaic panels, battery recycling activities, and the production and assembly of light electric vehicles in the L6 and L7 categories.

A key element of the proposal is the protection of employment. The industrial plan provides for the progressive reabsorption of the entire workforce of the site, consisting of 368 employees, through a reintegration path structured over a three-year period.

The project is part of Zetronic’s industrial growth strategy. The company specializes in the development, design and production of mechatronic solutions and Smart IoT products for various industrial sectors and aims to further strengthen industrial capabilities while contributing to the development of advanced manufacturing activities in the region.
